NRI dies after rendering poem at Kannada meet
Mysore, Feb 23 (UNI) In a tragic incident, a Non-Resident Indian died of a massive heart attack after rendering a poem in the ninth Kannada Sahitya Sammelana here last evening.
Shivanna, who participated in the poetry reading session, collapsed while climbing down the stage after rendering the poem. He was rushed to the hospital, where he was declared brought dead.
A septuagenarian, Shivanna had just returned from the US where his daughter was pursuing a Post Graduate course.
He is survived by his wife, son, who is a doctor, and a daughter, who is a lecturer.
