Kotak Life Insurance opens branch office at Kalyan

Thane, Feb 23 (UNI) With the view to increase its reach in the city, Kotak Mahindra Old Mutual Life Insurance today announced the launch of its new branch office at Kalyan.

Kotak Life Insurance Managing Director Gaurang Shah inaugurated the new branch office.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr Shah said, ''We are very happy to launch our 19th branch in Maharashtra. The state is one of the leading contributors to the Company's business and has more than 70 qualifiers to the prestigious Million Dollar Round Table, among other achievements.'' ''This launch will help us extend our footprints and penetrate into the city. Kalyan's potential lies in its various industries and huge population, making it an important location for us to have a branch in. With this new addition at Kalyan, we see ourselves emerging as a dominant player in the region,'' he added.

Kotak Life Insurance now has 116 branches across India. Apart from Kalyan, this new branch will cater to Dombivali, Ullhasnagar, Ambernath, Badlapur, Karjat and Kasara.

This move is part of the Company's strategy to set up a robust multi-point distribution network to cater to the mass market in the country. Kotak Life Insurance will aggressively expand its tied distribution channel to create a long-term distribution network in and around Kalyan. The company plans to recruit life advisors to provide need-based solutions to its customers in this region.

Kotak Mahindra Old Mutual Life Insurance is a joint venture between Kotak Mahindra Bank, its affiliates and Old Mutual plc.
