Jyothir Lingam darshan fest from Feb 24

Tiruchirapalli, Feb 23 (UNI) The Tiruchirapalli chapter of the Brahmakumaris World Spiritual University, will organise '12 Jyothir Lingam darshan festival' here for six days from tomorrow, Additional in-charge of the Brahmmakumaris local chapter B K Kavitha told newspersons last night that models of 12 famous Saivite pilgrimage centres in the country with their history and importance would be displayed at the festival.

She said people would get an opportunity to have a glimpse of the models of Kasi Vishwanath temple in Uttar Pradesh; Mallikarjunar temple (Andhra Pradesh); Omkareshwar temple (Madhya Pradesh); Somnath temple (Gujarat); Rameswaram temple (Tamil Nadu); Nageswarar temple in the seashore at Karachi in Pakistan; Kedarnath temple (Uttar Pradesh); Mahakaleswar temple (Madhya Pradesh); Vaidyanatheswarar temple, Krishneshwar temple and Trimbakeshwar temple in Maharashtra and Bhimashankar temple in Arunachal Pradesh.

She said Live image shows of nine deities, including goddess Visalakshi, Meenakshi, Lakshmi, Saraswathi and cultural programmes by the students would also form part of the festival.
