Ex-gratia of Rs 7 lakh for avalanche victims

Srinagar, Feb 23: Jammu and Kashmir government has sanctioned Rs seven lakh in favour of seven people who were killed in the recent heaviest snowfall in 20 years in south Kashmir.

An official spokesman said Rs one lakh each ex-gratia was distributed among the next of kin of the seven people who died of avalanches triggered due to heavy snowfall in Anantnag district.
