Dera chief does not appear in court, next hearing on Mar 8

Ambala, Feb 23 (UNI) Sirsa Dera Sacha Sauda Chief Baba Gurmit Ram Rahim accused in murder and rape cases, did not appear in the special CBI court Ambala City today.

He had sent medical certificate requesting that he should be exempted from personal appearance on medical grounds. The court on perusing the application of the Baba, fixed next date for his appearance on March 8.

This is the first time that the Baba did not appear in the court after attack on him by the terrorists near Nilokheri on the NH 1 earlier this month.
