Cheat impersonating as NDPL officer arrested
New Delhi, Feb 23 (UNI) The police have arrested a person for indulging in extortion impersonating as an NDPL officer.
Police have arrested 21-year-old Harish Kumar on a complaint by one Vijay kumar, a resident of Timar Pur, that the accused, posing as an NDPL officer, tampered with the electronic meter installed at their house and then demanded Rs 15000 from them yesterday under the threat of lodging a criminal case against them.
A case of impersonation and extortion has been registered against the accused, police said.
