Woman killed, four injured and four houses gutted in Kashmir

Srinagar Feb 22 (UNI) A woman was killed and three others were injured when a tree fell on them while a girl was injured and four houses gutted in the Kashmir valley overnight, official sources said today.

They said a 32-year-old Mehmooda Akhtar was killed on the spot and three others were injured when a tree fell on them at Balpora Shopian. The injured were hospitalised, they added.

Meanwhile, a girl was injured when she was hit by a vehicle at Ashia Bagh under police station Nigeen. She was admitted to hospital.

In onother incident fire broke out at village Qazipora Watapora damaging four houses. The cause of the fire was not known, they said.
