Warm weekend in offing, mercury rises to 27.9 degrees
New Delhi, Feb 22 (UNI) After the chill last week, a warm weekend seems to be in offing for Delhiites with the mercury continuing its rising trend, shooting up to 27.9 degrees Celsius, three degrees above normal today.
A cloud cover in the sky led to a sharp rise in mercury in the national capital maintaining the warm climes in the city.
While the minimum temperature shot up to 10.4 degrees, the maximum rose to 27.9 degree, three degrees above normal.
A slight mist was also witnessed in the morning though visibility levels remained near normal.
The warm weather could persist during the weekend with weathermen forecasting minimum temperature of 14 degrees tomorrow.
The Met office has forecast a partly cloudy sky in Delhi during the next 24 hours with possiblity of mist in the morning.
