Vajpeyi re-elected as CPI MP unit secretary

Bhopal, Feb 22 (UNI) Communist Party of India leader Mahendra Vajpeyi has been unanimously re-elected as the CPI's Madhya Pradesh unit secretary at the party's three-day 16th state convention here.

''Comrades Krishna Modi, Haridwar Singh, Anand Prakash Pandey, V K Sharma, Ravindra Sharma and Khalil Kesari have been elected in the seven-member state secretariat,'' CPI Secretary Shailendra Kumar Shaily said in a release issued here today.

A 15-member team of representatives was also elected to take part in the state executive, state council, Control Commission, Audit Commission and CPI convention.

The convention concluded yesterday, the release added.
