UT Admn. to connect community health centres through telemedicine
Chandigarh, Feb 22 (UNI) In order to provide quality health care to people, the Chandigarh Administration has decided to connect community health centres at Manimajra and in sector 22 through telemedicine network.
These community health centres will be connected with Government Multi Specialty Hospital (GMSH) in Sector-16 of the city through telemedicine project.
Union Territory Home and Health Secretary Krishna Mohan said that GMSH will be further connected to Government Medical College and Hospital, Sector-32, and to the PGI.
Mr Mohan said that two mobile telemedicine vans will cover villages, slums and areas, where there is no dispensary, and connect these to GMSH directly.
He said the people will be greatly benefited with the project which will also help in reducing the burden on the key hospitals.
