Kochi, Feb 22 (UNI) Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman K Rahman Khan today said tsunami rehabilitation projects should be given due importance and completed by June this year.
Addressing a review meeting on the utilization of MP funds for the tsunami rehabilitation projects in Kerala, Mr Khan said '' these projects should be given more importance vis-a-vis the normal development projects in the state.'' Mr Khan is heading a delegation comprising Parliamentarians Harish Rawat, Rejimit Prasad, C Perumal and Moinul Hasan and Rajya Sabha Secretariate officials Anil Kumar Chaudhary, R K Singh, R P Tiwari, K Mishra and Khadir Sheriff.
The delegation, which will be visiting Alappuzha and Kollam districts in the state, was here as part of its efforts to review the progress of rehabilitation works in Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Puducherry.
