Bangalore, Feb 22: The increasing trend of obesity had assumed epidemic proportions, veteran actress and social activist Shabana Azmi said today. Speaking at a function at the launch of VLCC's eighth Health and Beauty Care Centre of VLCC, she said the weight loss programmes should be done the natural way by right intake of food coupled with a health lifestyle.
Beauty treatment and weight-loss programmes at VLCC were result of research and scientific trials. With the help of a team of qualified professionals it employs a multi-disciplinary approach to help both men and women in weight-related problems, Shabana who is the brand ambassador of the company said. Vandana Luthra, founder and mentor of VLCC Health Care said Karnataka, especially Bangalore had over the years become cognizant to increasing prevalence of lifestyle related diseases. This had led to steep rise in the demand of leading a healthy lifestyle. Realising this VLCC had decided to increase the footprint in the city.
