Polio-affected youth's novel feat
Puducherry, Feb 22 (UNI) A physically handicapped youth today performed a novel feat to highlight the importance of enviornmental protection.
John Peter, whose legs were affected by polio, sat in 'padmaasanam'' and travelled a distance of five kms with the help of his hands.
John Peter commenced his courageaus feat from the Bharathidasan Government College here and reached the Legislative Assembly after passing through the main thoroughfares of the town.
DMK Youth Wing leader R Siva MLA received him at the Assembly.
Puducherry Education Minister M O H F Shajahan inaugurated the feat.
