Man commits suicide by jumping off hospital building

Kochi, Feb 22 (UNI) A man, who was undergoing treatment for burn injuries sustained in a firecracker accident, allegedly committed suicide by jumping from the seventh floor of the hospital building this morning.

Hospital spokesman said Nandakumar (42) of Maradu, near here, had been mentally disturbed for a couple of days due to alcohol withdrawal symptoms.

Nandakumar was supposed to be discharged from the hospital today after undergoing treatment.
