LDF Govt pursuing anti-people' policies: INTUC leader
Kochi, Feb 22: Indian National Trade Union Congress (INTUC) Kerala president R Chandrashekaran today said the LDF Government's inability to contain the price rise of essential commodities had adversely affected the interests of workers in the state. Speaking to reporters here, he alleged that the government was not taking effective steps to rejuvenate the public distribution system (PDS), which was in shambles.
Stating that the government had failed to honour its promise to open closed industries and revive the sick industrial units, the INTUC leader alleged that 'the policies of the Achuthanandan-led government was 'anti-people' and had failed on all fronts.'' Mr Chandrashekaran said the Union would chalkout protest plans against the government in its state executive to be held on February 25 in Thrissur.
