Kalam rejoins CARE Group
Hyderabad, Feb 22 (UNI) Former president A P J Abdul Kalam today rejoined CARE Group of Hosptials as a Director and chief mentor.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Kalam said, ''I will make efforts to strengthen the noble mission of bringing back the trust in medicine as a profession. CARE has a great future on account of the strong value system that the group adopted.'' He appreciated its effort in paying adequate attention towards developing intellectual capital through continuous education and training programme.
Dr Kalam had been associated with CARE Hosptials in the past and played a vital role in developing the famous 'Kalam-Raju stent' that led to the crash of prices of imported coronary stents in the Indian market. He would guide the hospital in adapting the latest technologies in the field of healthcare.
Expressing happiness over Dr Kalam joining the group, hospitals Chairman Dr B Soma Raju said, ''Dr Kalam's vision which guided us in the past to develop a cardiac stent with indigenous technology will show us the way to carry forward our objective of keeping patients interests first,'' UNI AP DS KD RK2123
