IEDs, grenades and ammunition recovered in Poonch
Jammu, Feb 22 (UNI) The security forces today busted a hideout and recovered four improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs), seven grenades and ammunition in Surankote town of Poonch district.
While a dump of ammunition was also recovered here this evening, Defence spokesman Lt Col S D Goswami said.
''Based on specific information, troops of the 45 Rashtriya Rifles launched a search operation in Surankote and busted a militant hideout.
''Four IEDs, seven hand grenades, three RPG rounds, 10 detonators and 350 AK rounds were recovered from the site,'' he told UNI.
Meanwhile, troops of the 157 Territorial Army, during a routine search, found a dump of ammunition near Makwal Post at the International Border, some 15 km from here, he added.
''One Ak-47, two grenades and some assorted ammunition was recovered by the troops during patrolling,'' the Defence spokesman said.
