CM sends legal notice to DMDK chief on 'false' charges
Chennai, Feb 22 (UNI) Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi today warned DMDK chief Vijayakanth, and editor and publisher of a Tamil magazine with defamation procedures if they failed to withdraw ''frivolous and false'' allegations published in the periodical.
In a legal notice issued to them, Mr Karunanidhi said the actor-politician's charges levelled in an interview with 'Kumudam' were ''clearly motivated by ill-will and mala-fide intentions.'' The Chief Minister asked Mr Vijayakanth to tender an unconditional apology or face defamation procedures.
The legal notice served on the magazine, has directed it to publish an apology for the 'scandolous' remarks published in it.
