Anand Pawar enters Semifinals in the Austrian International
Bangalore, Feb 22 (UNI) Continuing his winning spree, Indian ace shuttler Anand Pawar stormed into semifinals of the Austrian Open played in Vienna today.
Anand created upset by defeating Finland's No.1 player Ville Lang in two straight games 21-11, 21-12 in the quarterfinals, according to information received at the TATA Padukone Badminton Academy here.
Earlier Anand got the better of Austria's top player Juergen Koch late last night when the Austrian conceded the 2nd game after Anand won the first set 22-20.
In the semifinals Anand will clash with Nathan Rice of England later tonight.
