AIMIM demands ban on film
Hyderabad, Feb 22 (UNI) The All India Majilis-E-Itihadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) members in the Andhra Pradesh Assembly today demanded a ban on Oscar-nominated Director Moustapha Akkad's film'' Al Risalah'' for allegedly depicting Islam in a ''bad light.'' The AIMIM members were on their feet, pressing the demand soon after Speaker K R Suresh Reddy disallowed the adjournment motion given notice of by the party.
Home Minister K Jana Reddy pacified the agitated members by promising to hold a special screening for them and give permission to the film only if they had no objection.
