Militants shot at civilian in Poonch

Jammu, Feb 21: A civilian was shot at by unidentified militants in Tehsil Mendhar of Poonch district last evening, official sources said here today.

The sources said a few unidentified militants shot at and injured Sikander Hayat, at his house in Sakhi Maidan. ''Militants barged into the house of Lal Din and opened fire, in which Sikander Hayat, son of Lal Din got injured,'' the sources told to the sources, adding that he was immediately shifted to the sub-district hospital, Mendhar.

Meanwhile, a search operation was launched in the area to apprehend the militants, who were believed to be locals, they said.
