Hurriyat to open offices in Jammu and Ladakh

Srinagar, Feb 21 (UNI) Hurriyat Conference (Mirwaiz) has constituted district and block level committees to strengthen the amalgam at grassroots level.

A joint meeting of general body and executive council at Hurriyat headquarter at Rajbagh today took a number of decisions, a spokesman for the amalgam said.

They took a number of steps to strengthen the conference at grass root level in the state, he added.

He said another nine-member committee headed by senior separatist leader Shabir Ahmad Shah was constituted which will visit Ladakh and Jammu to open district level offices there.

Hurriyat conference also nominated district heads for all the seven districts of the valley.
