Envoys appointed to Indonesia, Seychelles, Nigeria
New Delhi, Feb 21 (UNI) Mr Biren Nanda, an Indian Foreign Service officer of the 1978 batch and presently Joint Secretary at Headquarters, has been appointed Ambassador to Indonesia.
In two more appointments announced by the External Affairs Ministry, Mr Asit Kumar Nag will be the High Commissioner to Seychelles while Mr Mahesh Kumar Sachdev will be High Commissioner to Nigeria.
Mr Nag, an IFS officer of 1984 batch, is presently Joint Secretary at Headquarters.
Mr Mahesh Kumar Sachdev, an IFS of the 1978 batch and presently Ambassador to Norway, will succeed Mr H.H.S. Viswanathan, the Ministry said.
