Wockhardt net slips 30% to Rs 33.9 cr

New Delhi, Feb 20 (UNI) Wockhardt Ltd today said its net profit decreased 30.10 per cent to Rs 33.9 crore for the fourth quarter ended December 31, 2007 as compared to Rs 48.5 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.

Its total income has increased 16.28 per cent to Rs 297.7 crore from Rs 256 crore in the said period.

The results for the year ended December 31, 2007 saw the company's net profit at Rs 213.9 crore as compared to Rs 213.5 crore last year.

Its total income has increased to Rs 1,247.8 crore from Rs 1,156.4 crore in the said period.

The Groups consolidated results showed a net profit of Rs 106.9 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2007 as compared to Rs 87 crore in the same quarter last year.

Total income has increased from to Rs 765.7 crore for the fourth quarter from Rs 534.1 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.

The results for the year ended December 31, 2007 showed Groups net profit at Rs 385.8 crore as compared to Rs 241.3 crore last year.

Total income has increased to Rs 2,664.2 crore for the year ended December 31, 2007 from Rs 1,748 crore last year.
