Sinha, Azad greet people of Guru Ravidas Jayanti

Jammu, Feb 20 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir Governor S K Sinha and Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad today greeted the people of the state on the birth anniversary of Shri Guru Ravidas.

Lt Gen (retd) Sinha, in a message, said Guru Ravidasji was one of the great saints of India who championed the cause of the oppressed and made a significant contribution to India's spiritual ethos.

He hoped that the teachings and message of Guruji would inspire the people to overcome the divisive forces in our society.

Mr Azadm, in his message, said the best way to pay tributes to Guruji was to contribute for strengthening secular ethos, brotherhood and amity.

He also prayed for peace and prosperity for the people of the state on the occasion.
