Maya's golden 'palki' reaches Varanasi
Varanasi, Feb 20 (UNI) Golden 'palki' (palanquin) to be offered by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati at Sant Ravidas temple reached here tonight.
The 'palki' made of about 15 kg gold costing over Rs 1.5 crore was brought here by road from Jalandar.
The 'shobha yatra' had started from Jalandar on February 16 and reached the city passing through Ambala, Delhi, Agra and Kanpur.
Mayawati will offer the golden 'palki' at Ravi Das Temple on the saint's 631st birth anniversary tomorrow morning.
