K'taka Governor condoles death of former Union Minister

Bangalore, Feb 20: Karnataka Governor Rameshwar Thakur today condoled the death of former Union Minister Basavarajeswari who died yesterday.

In his message, the Governor said she had devoted her life to social service and was associated with issues pertaining to women's rights.She always identified herself with the people and was quick to raise issues in Parliament concerning them, he said.

The state has lost an eminant woman leader in her death, he said.
