Follow Guru Ravidas' message of love, compassion: President

New Delhi, Feb 20 (UNI) President Pratibha Devisingh Patil has greeted the people on the occasion of Guru Ravidas Jayanti, observing that his philosophy of service and commitment to creating a caring society is relevant even today.

''On the occasion of the birthday of Guru Ravidas, I extend my greetings and good wishes to all my countrymen. Ravidasji led a life of faith and devotion and dedicated himself to the cause of the poor irrespective of caste, creed and religion. His philosophy of service and his commitment to creating a caring society is relevant even today,'' Ms Patil said.

''May his message of love, compassion and equality inspire us to serve humanity with dedication and devotion,'' she said.
