Blasts-like sound creates panic in cinema theatre

Mumbai, Feb 20 (UNI) The Cine Raj Theatre at Panvel, which is screening the film ''Jodhaa Akbar'', had to be evacuated during a show today after the movie watchers claimed they had heard a blast-like sound.

Navi Mumbai police told UNI that at 1515 hrs, the viewers claimed they had heard the sound even as the show was in progress.

''Immediately, the hall was evacuated and a search was carried out,'' a Navi Mumbai police official said, refusing to divulge more information.

However, there were no reports of any harm to life or property and the second show commenced immediately.
