AP Police takes steps to bring Nasir to Hyderabad
Hyderabad, Feb 19 (UNI) The city police has approached their Bangalore counterparts to bring for interrogation here suspected terrorist Nasir, who was arrested at Davangere in Karnataka on January 28.
Talking to UNI, Police Commissioner B Prasad Rao said the police would interrogate him in connection with the August 25 twin blasts in the city that claimed more than 40 lives.
He said it would take one week to one month to take Nasir into their custody.
Nasir, who had reportedly revealed during a narco-analysis test in Bangalore, that a group of 'fidayeen' had entered into the city and were planning to trigger blast at an oil tanker at the heart of the city.
Nasir was arrested along with his associate in connection with a vehicle theft in Karnataka.
Nasir's father Maulana Naseeruddin was arrested by Gujarat police in Hyderabad five years ago in connection with the murder of former Gujarat Home Minister Haren Pandya.
