Train Reservation Service at the doorstep of the soldiers

Ambala, Feb 19 (UNI) Western Command GOC-in-C Lt Gen T.K. Sapru today inaugurated the Kharga Railway Passenger Reservation Service at the Kharga Utility Complex Ambala Cantonment to bring the service to the doorstep of the soldiers and their families.

Interacting with the mediapersons, GOC-in C Sapru stated that the project was first of its kind in the Western Command comprising states of Punjab, Haryana, J&K and parts of Rajasthan.

He said that armymen, exservicemen and civilian people coming and going to far flung areas of Jammu, Sri Nagar, Rajauri and other places ould avail of the facility.

The DRM Jaggi said that the Service would be manned by the Army in the beginning and later it would be taken over by the Railways.
