Total Lunar Eclipse on Feb 21, barely visible in India

Hyderabad, Feb 19: A total Lunar Eclipse will occur on February 21, but it will be barely visible in India.

The eclipse, which would begin at 0713 hrs IST, would appear total from 0830 hrs to 0921 hrs. It would appear partial till 1039 hrs, a release from B M Birla Science Centre said today. The eclipse would not be visible in most parts of India, as it would occur after the moon sets in the west.

A few places in Western India would be able to see the beginning of the eclipse.

Next total Lunar Eclipse would take place only in December 2010, the release added.
