Three TRS MLCs suspended from AP Council over Telangana issue
Hyderabad, Feb 19 (UNI) Telangana Rashtra Samithi floor leader Dilip Kumar and two other TRS MLCs were suspended from the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council for two days for stalling the proceedings to press for House resolution for separate Telangana.
TRS MLCs, who returned to the Council after four days' suspension, started their protest as soon as the House assembled for the day.
When Council Chairman A Chakrapani disallowed the adjournment motion notices by the TRS on the issue, members of TRS rushed to the well of the House and staged protest, raising slogans in support of Telangana.
After repeated appeals, the Chairman adjourned the House for 15 minutes. After the House resumed, the TRS members continued with their protest in the well of the House.
The Chairman named TRS floor leader and MLCs Rahman and D Stayanarayana, following which Higher Education Minister D Srinivas Rao moved the resolution for their suspension for two days.
