TDP leader sentenced in defamation case

Mahoob Nagar, Feb 19 (UNI) A Local court today sentenced former minister N Janardhan Reddy to six months imprisonment in a defamation case.

Andhra Pradesh Rural Development Minister G Chinna Reddy had filed the case against him in this district.

The Munsif Court Magistrate also imposed a fine of Rs 5000 to the TDP leader, who was also the Deputy leader of Telugu Desam Legislative Party (TDLP).

The minister filed the case against the TDP leader for the alleged remarks that he had earned a 'bogus doctorate', degree recenlty.
