Sacha Sauda blast accused in judicial remand

Karnal, Feb 19: The Dera Sacha Sauda blast accused Mohinder Singh has been sent to judicial custody after the expiry of his prolonged police remand.

The local court sent Mohinder, arrested by Haryana Police in connection with the February 2 attack on Dera Chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh's cavalcade here, into judicial custody yesterday.

The other two alleged conspirators in the attack, Swaran Singh and Jaswant Singh alias Jassa had already been sent to 14-day judicial custody.

Meanwhile, Karnal SSP A S Chawla today expressed confidence that the police was heading in the right direction to nab the alleged master mind behind the blast, Bakshish Singh.

''Fresh teams are monitoring his movements. Besides this, I cannot divulge much, '' he said.

About a dozen police teams are conducting raids in Punjab, Haryana, Himachal, Uttarakhand and Delhi to nab Bakshish Singh, police sources said.
