Punjab Govt approves one-day weekly off for police personnels
Chandigarh, Feb 19 (UNI) The Punjab Government has given its nod to the proposal of compulsory weekly off to all police personnels.
The facility would be extended to all the Non-gazetted officers (NGOs) and other ranks (Ors) --- from Constable to Inspector ---- as announced by the Chief Minister of Punjab Parkash Singh Badal on the occasion of Police Martyrs Commemoration Day Parade, according to a press release issued here today.
The facility would be provided to all NGOs/Ors by rotation of duty in all units and sub-units in such a manner that the work should not suffer.
The necessary orders have already been issued in this regard, the release said.
