MoS signed between Tata Steel and TWU for interim relief

Jamshedpur, Feb 19 (UNI) A Memorandum of Settlement (MoS) was signed between the Management of Tata Steel and the Tata Workers' Union (TWU) for interim relief of the employees.

The Settlement was signed here yesterday by B Muthuraman, Managing Director, H M Nerurkar, Chief Operating Officer of Tata Steel and Raghunath Pandey, President, TWU, and senior officials of the company and the union in presence of Ram Pravesh Singh, Deputy Labour Commissioner of Jharkhand.

Based on the Settlement, a monthly interim relief would be paid to the employees of Steel Works and Tubes Division pending finalisation of wage revision.

The Settlement would cover all permanent employees (workers and supervisors) of the company at Jamshedpur, including Tubes Division.

The charter of demands, submitted by the union to the company for wage settlement, would be discussed and finalised between the company and the union within four months from the date of this settlement, the company sources said.
