Half a million students to use free software in IT exam
Thiruvananthapuram, Feb 19(UNI) For the first time in the world, half a million students in Kerala will use free software in their schools for IT practical examination this month.
An official release said here today the examination would be held from February 27 to March seven.
The examination would be conducted by using software in five categories, including general and old scheme for deaf, blind and differently abled.
For the smooth conduct of the examination, 39 call centres would be arranged under the project. Besides installing software in school labs, training to 6,000 teachers and 163 master trainers were completed, the release added.
