378th birth anniversary of Chhatrapati Shivaji celebrated

Mumbai, Feb 19 (UNI) The 378th birth anniversary of Maratha warrior Chhatrapati Shivaji was celebrated at various places in Maharashtra today.

While state chief secretary Johny Joseph and social welfare minister Chandrakant Handore paid floral tributes to the portrait of Chhatrapati Shivaji, chairman of the Legsilative Council Shivajirao Deshmukh garlanded the statue at Vidhan Bhavan.

Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) also organised a programme and paid floral tributes to Shivaji. MPCC president Prabha Rau was also present on the occasion.
