Tributes paid to freedom fighter

Puducherry, Feb 18: Floral tributes were paid to freedom fighter Sindanai Sirppi Singaravelar on his 148th birth anniversary here today.

Puducherry Speaker R Radhakrishnan garlanded the Singaravelar statue on behalf of the territorial administration.

PMK parliamentary party leader M Ramadass and party Legislators Anmantharaman, Arul Murugal and Pannerselvam and members of several fishermen organisations also garlanded the statue to mark the occasion.

The PMK also held a conference on Singaravelar here on the occasion.
