Tribal exodus in Chhattisgarh's village
Rajnandgaon, Chhattisgarh, Feb 18 (UNI) At least 113 tribals, including 50 children, have migrated from their native villages fearing naxal attack in this district's Gatapar area, police said today.
Confirming the migration, Additional Superintendent of Police Manish Sharma told UNI here that 22 tribal families had been lodged in a primary school, which has been turned into a camp. Employment would be provided to them under the National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme soon, he added.
The tribals started vacating the villages after police encounter with ultras at Dhari village in Madhya Pradesh's Balaghat district on January 20.
Fearing further attacks, the tribal, had also emptied Maleda village in Chhattisgarh.
