Sugar prices dip on large stock arrivals
Navi Mumbai, Feb 18 (UNI) Wholesale sugar prices drifted lower by Rs 15 per quintal today on sustained heavy offers by stockists, traders at the Bombay Sugar Merchants' Association said.
Sugar prices in small and medium grades declined by Rs 15 and Rs ten per quintal respectively on thin buying support.
Ex-mill small and medium grades were also down by Rs ten and Rs eight per quintal respectively due to sluggish demand by bulk consumers.
Following are the spot wholesale rates per quintal: Small grade: Rs 1,375/1,400, Medium grade: Rs 1,415/1,515.
Ex-mill Small grade: Rs 1,360/1,390 and Medium grade: Rs 1,390/1,450.
