Rice Millers seek fair price for bran
Kakinada, , Feb 18 (UNI) The Andhra Pradesh Rice Millers Association President D Bhaskara Reddy today alleged that the millers were being denied a fair price for rice bran supplied to the solvent extraction mills and subjected to continued exploitation.
Talking to newsmen here, Mr Reddy said all the 5500 rice millers in the state were at the mercy of the 30 solvent extraction mills.
The millers were forced to supply bran and husk at the rates dictated by the mills, as they cannot keep the stock for long, for want of storage space, he added.
