Mauritius PM donates 2.5 lakh dollars for Harigaon village

Patna, Feb 18 (UNI) Mauritius Prime Minister Navinchandra Ramgoolam today announced to donate 2.5 lakh dollars for allround development of infrastructural facilities at his ancestral village Harigaon in Bhojpur district of Bihar.

Mr Ramgoolam made the announcement at a banquet hosted in his honour by state governor R S Gavai at Raj Bhawan. ''Funds offered by the Mauritius government will be utilised for construction of school and hospital besides development of other infrastructural facilties,'' he added.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr Gavai said, ''The cultural ties between Mauritius and Bihar will attain a new high with the visit of Mr Ramgoolam here.'' UNI KKS/SJC AKJ GC2302
