Govt officials dismissed from service

Hyderabad, Feb 18: Former Deputy Executive Engineer (R and B) in Ananthapur district S Vijaya Bharat was dismissed from service after being convicted by Additional Special Judge for SPE and ACB cases, Hyderabad today.

Earlier, Mr Bharat was trapped by ACB officials on September 20, 2002, while accepting a bribe of Rs 25,000 for doing an official favour, a press release said here.

Chittoor district's Madanapalli mandal Surveyor M Adinarayana was convicted by Special Judge for SPE and ACB cases, Nellore, who sentenced him to one and a half year rigorous imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs 1,000.

ACB officals trapped him on February six, 2001 while accepting a bribe of Rs 1,000 for doing an official favour.
