APSRTC to operate 200 buses in city from April
Hyderabad, Feb 18 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Transport Minister K Laxminarayana today said 200 Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation(APSRTC) buses would be operated in Hyderabad and Secunderabad from April and ten air-conditioned buses would be introduced shortly.
Replying to a question by Telugu Desam Party (TDP) Floor leader D Veerabhadra Rao in the Council, Mr Laxminarayana said 480 new buses would be inducted here in 2009.
Stating that APSRTC was running 2940 buses in the city, he said, 222 buses were being operated on hire for private companies.
The total number of buses linked to MMTS trains was 1750, he added.
