Youth arrested under suspicious circumstances in city
Chennai, Feb 17 (UNI) A 23-year-old youth from Andhra Pradesh was arrested by the police here last evening as he was found moving under suspicious circumstances near the US Consulate in the city.
The youth, identified as Mohammad Masood, had come to the city along with three others to get a visa, allegedly using forged documents, police said.
Security personnel at the Consulate, who grew suspicious about his movement, informed the city police, who arrested him.
As he gave unconvincing replies, he was handed over to the Q Branch police, to ascertain whether he has any links with Muslim fundamentalists.
Police raided the mansion where the four were staying and had obtained some valid clues. Special teams have been formed to trace the three associates of Masood.
