Noted social worker litterateur Dr Arshad passes away
Patna, Feb 17 (UNI) Noted social worker and chairman of 'Bihar Council for the Promotion of Urdu Language Dr R Asri Arshad died of cardiac arrest in Nalanda today.
The end came when he was attending a function at the Pali Institute there.
Dr Arshad was 75 and is survived by his wife, a son and six daughters.
Bihar Chief minister Nitish Kumar condoled the death of Dr Arshad.
In his message the Chief Minister described his death as an 'irreparable loss' to the state and Urdu literature. He was also a great social worker who devoted his life for the cause of the poor.
He also expressed his heartfelt sympathy to the members of the bereaved family.
