K'taka terror links: KPCC hints CBI probe into terrorist acts

Gulbarga, Feb 17: Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) President Mallikarjun Kharge today suggested handing over the investigation of terrorist activities in the state to the CBI.

Talking to newspersons here, he said that in his opinion the investigation of terrorist activities should be handed over to the CBI as the Corps of Detectives (CoD) probe has revealed that those arrested had links with terrorists in other states and foreign countries. "Moreover, the state COD cannot hold inquiry with other states and foreign agencies," Mr Kharge said. Declining to comment whether he was satisfied with the investigation so far made by the CoD, Mr Kharge said innocent people should not be harassed. "All Muslims are not terrorists and there is no point in punishing all for the fault of one," he added.
