Chennai, Feb 17 : An exhibition of gold jewellery is attracting visitors in large numbers here.
The two-day event, which began on Saturday at the Chennai Trade Centre, has latest designs of gold jewellery on display.
More than 150 jewellery manufacturers from India and abroad are participating in the exhibition.
"The significance of showcasing the exhibition in Chennai is that it is in south India, so new designs from the entire region have been put up. Retailers in the region can have a look at the designs, and can keep them in their retail showrooms. We are getting very good response from retailers," said Vinod Tejwani, a jewellery manufacturer.
Exquisite and trendy designs in gold, diamond and semi-precious stones have left the visitors enchanted as well as dazzled.
"I've found many varieties here. Everything is so fashionable and nice. Rates are also reasonable. Diamond jewellery is exclusive over here," said Sapna, a visitor.
